These are just some photos I took around home of the kids' hands. For some reason, I really like the last one of Kale eatting. The wetness really adds something, haha.

Student Contract
For my final project in photography 1, I took pictures of hands which ranged from young children's to older aged hands. I enjoyed my final project last semester and wanted to continue in the same direction for my portfolio in Photography 2. Every hand has it own story; where it's been, what it's been through, how it's been used, etc. I feel that without words, looking at hands can tell a lot about a person and their experiences.
For this semester, when continuing with my hand pictures, I would like to get a larger variety of hands. I'd like to expand my ages for example, I wasn't able to get any young baby hands and I feel that they would make a great addition to my pieces. Also, I would like to look into adding hands with tatoos or perhaps deformities that make them interesting. I'd like to experiement, perhaps, with the movement of our hands and the way we use them.
I would like to use black and white film for my project, I think, but I don't want to limit myself to a certain type of camera or anything specific. I want to experiment and see what kind of different things I can come up with.
